11/6/2003 - IP Infusion Inc., a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services, announced that its ZebOS® Server Routing Suite (SRS) Secure Edition has achieved OPSECTM (Open Platform for Security) certification from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. The ZebOS SRS Secure Edition seamlessly interoperates with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1® /FireWall-1® Next GenerationTM solution, adding enterprise-grade routing functionality to Check Point firewall and VPN gateways without compromising security or affecting system throughput. The ZebOS SRS achieved OPSEC certification in 2002 for both Linux and Solaris, and now the Secure Edition has achieved OPSEC certification for Check Point SecurePlatformä, delivering a complete routing and security solution to end-users.
IP Infusion has partnered with Check Point to develop a tightly integrated routing and switching solution that adds RIP, OSPF and BGP to Check Point’s suite of firewall and VPN solutions. The ZebOS SRS Secure Edition simplifies enterprise network management via dynamic routing protocols. In addition, it reduces network downtime and lowers operational costs by enabling Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 to dynamically detect network changes, route around failed devices and transmit route updates through firewalls and across VPN tunnels.
Check Point SecurePlatform quickly and easily deploys Check Point's market-leading security software on industry-standard hardware, allowing administrators to turn an Intel or AMD-based server into a secure, high-performance VPN/firewall in less than five minutes. Shipped on a bootable CD-ROM, SecurePlatform uses Check Point's "One-Click" technology to automatically install and configure a fully hardened/secured operating system and Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 software, offering end-users a customized installation. In addition, SecurePlatform contains basic routing solutions that meet requirements of those customers who are looking for basic routing functionality.
“Through OPSEC integration between IP Infusion’s ZebOS SRS Secure Edition and Check Point’s market-leading solutions, our mutual customers can realize the benefits of streamlined network configurations and reduced costs associated with managing multiple platforms,” said Upesh Patel, director, business development for Check Point Software Technologies. “The additional integration with Check Point SecurePlatform complements the previous OPSEC certification for Linux and Solaris operating systems by offering security administrators highly optimized, secure routing solutions.”
The ZebOS SRS Secure Edition seamlessly integrates with Check Point SecurePlatform to provide state-of-the-art, commercially-supported routing protocols. Firewall administrators can install and uninstall the ZebOS SRS Secure Edition through Check Point SmartUpdateä, a software and license management utility. Administrators can also launch IP Infusion’s industry-standard command line interface from the SecurePlatform command shell where they can configure and manage routing policies. In addition, the routing software provides detailed logging and debugging capabilities through syslog and SNMP management support. “Enterprise customers today are looking for ways to reduce costs while maintaining the highest level of network security and high availability. The ZebOS SRS Secure Edition in conjunction with Check Point SecurePlatform provides customers with a powerful, cost-effective solution that meets their routing and security requirements,” said Gary Hemminger, Vice President of Marketing for IP Infusion. “Our tight integration with Check Point SecurePlatform enables customers to centrally configure networking and firewall policies through a unified management interface.”
