11/5/2003 - Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) announced that it has partnered with DeRisk IT, a global quality assurance company that utilizes testing tools to help enterprises assess and reduce the risk of application failure, to offer and deliver the Compuware Application Reliability Solution (CARS) to its customers. Compuware’s testing solutions and services will be combined with DeRisk IT’s consultants’ specialized risk management knowledge to provide customers with an integrated quality assurance solution for IT applications. DeRisk IT joins a growing list of companies who are partnering with Compuware to deliver CARS.
CARS is a comprehensive application reliability solution that combines a proven methodology with time-tested technology and certified quality assurance expertise to help organizations improve control over application delivery. Certified professionals whose expertise is quality assurance and management of business risk will deliver the CARS solution to customers to help improve the quality of new applications and reduce the risk of IT failure.
“We partnered with Compuware based on our mutual commitment to introduce best practices methodology into IT organizations,” said Matt Lust, President at DeRisk IT. “CARS further enforces this commitment, enabling us to offer our customers a complete application quality solution.”
DeRisk IT and Compuware recently worked together on a project for Curtis 1000, a leader in printed solutions. DeRisk IT utilized several technologies from Compuware to carry out a large PeopleSoft 8 capacity planning project for Curtis 1000.
“DeRisk IT provided strong leadership in the testing process as well as sound knowledge of the technologies used to design, create and conduct testing,” said Ozie Adams, Director of Information Technology at Curtis 1000. “This engagement provided valuable insight into enhancing the performance of our application and infrastructure prior to taking the system into production.”
DeRisk IT was founded to meet market demand for more cost effective IT project implementation and operation. It draws on over 200 years of cumulative IT risk management and systems testing experience from its executive and operational teams.
“IT departments are beginning to address the business risks associated with application project failures. Managing this risk is the focus of our CARS offering,” said Don Morrison, Vice President, Channel and Alliances, Compuware Corporation. “DeRisk IT is an ideal partner for us, as their knowledge, skills and experience in relation to IT risk management are substantial. Our combined offering will enable us to educate enterprises about the risks involved in the IT projects they undertake, and even more importantly help these businesses reduce the chance of project failure.”
