Birdstep Technology Enters China with New Office in Shanghai

10/30/2003 - Birdstep Technology, a developer of wireless infrastructure software for mobile IP and secure wireless access, as well as development of small footprint, high performance database technologies, announced that it has established a full time presence in China, with the opening of an office in Shanghai. Jorgen Bredensen, CEO of Birdstep Technology, comments "There is tremendous potential in China and South-East Asia. With this move, we expect to make a footprint in the market share for this region within two to three years. Our decision to open an office in Shanghai is based on our belief that a full time presence in the region will give us a much better position to leverage opportunities with partners and customers in this growing market, and will give confidence to a number of potential large customers of our commitment to meet their continuing needs for advanced and innovative technology in China and South-East Asia. The new Birdstep office will be located in the prestigious Zhangjiang High-tech Park centrally located in Shanghai in the Pudong district. The establishment of the office in China will be completed within the previously communicated cost frames.

Birdstep Wireless Portfolio
