10/29/2003 - Dexterra, Inc., provider of high-value, low-risk field force automation applications and the Dexterra Mobility Platform(tm) built on the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework, announced a partnership with CGNZ Limited, an affiliate of Cap Gemini and New Zealand's only locally owned, global consulting and IT services firm. Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on the research and development of breakthrough products for mobility applications and CGNZ will also serve as a reseller for Dexterra's unique mobility solutions.
"Dexterra's commitment to innovation in the mobile enterprise market is outstanding," said Alan Sinclair, CEO of CGNZ. "This agreement builds on local expertise with mobile applications that is truly world class, and creates an opportunity to combine research and development with distribution of top-of-the-line mobility solutions." CGNZ currently provide offshore testing and certification for Nokia mobile applications deployed in Europe and Asia Pacific, and a leading edge mobile Field Service application developed for Vector has been adopted for global distribution by the Cap Gemini group.
The alliance between Dexterra and CGNZ will enable both companies to develop leading products for the growing market of mobility applications. The R&D partnership will start by collaborating on the development of Dexterra Mobility Connectors, which provide seamless, low-risk integration to a range of enterprise data sources.
In addition, Dexterra's Chairman and CEO, Robert Loughan, is traveling to New Zealand to formally sign the partnership agreement and visit a number of potential clients during the week of October 27th. During the visit he will meet with Government representatives to understand how the government's ICT Sector Strategy will continue to support "Outsourcing to NZ" initiatives such as this, and to understand opportunities for deployment of innovative technologies in the NZ Business and Public Sector environment.
"CGNZ's experience in enterprise integration, its in depth knowledge of the leading CRM and ERP packages, and its proven track record in key vertical industries make the company a valuable partner for Dexterra," said Rob Loughan. "This partnership demonstrates Dexterra's success in executing on its global distribution strategy, and testifies to our unique approach. We believe New Zealand offers an innovative culture in a cost effective environment, and we are delighted to be spearheading an approach that we believe others will follow."
