10/21/2003 - Espial, a leading provider of embedded software solutions for interactive applications, announced that it ranked #205 among 500 of the fastest growing technology companies in North America, according to this year's Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500. The 2003 Deloitte & Touche Fast 500 is based on percentage revenue growth from 1998 to 2002 of North America-based private and public technology companies. Espial Group achieved its ranking by increasing revenue 1,632 percent over the last five years.
"We consider it a great honor to be ranked so high on the Deloitte & Touche list, and among the fastest growing companies in North America," said Marty Leamy, chief executive officer at Espial. "Our continued growth is a significant indication of the marketplace's need for our products and services, and the talent of Espial employees who have made this possible."
Espial technology is deployed in millions of devices around the world and has gained a foothold in the digital television market. Earlier this month, Espial was ranked 23rd overall in the Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50.
The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's 20 regional North American Fast 50 programs. Earlier this month, Espial finished #23 in the Deloitte & Touche Canadian Fast 50. To qualify for the Fast 500, entrants must have had 1998 operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD and $75,000 USD. Deloitte researchers examined financial statements to validate operating revenues.
