Cirrus Logic's CobraNet Powers Lab.gruppen Amplifier Audio Products

10/15/2003 - The Commercial Audio Products business of Cirrus Logic Inc. (Nasdaq: CRUS) announced an agreement with Lab.gruppen to purchase and use Cirrus Logic's CobraNetTM technology in Lab.gruppen power-amplifier audio products. This agreement allows Lab.gruppen to extend the use of CobraNet technology to the entire range of Lab.gruppen audio products. CobraNet technology, developed and marketed by Cirrus Logic acquisition Peak Audio, is the professional audio industry's leading technology for distributing uncompressed, real-time digital audio over a Fast Ethernet network.

"CobraNet technology utilization in such products as the Ferrite Power Series and the Iron Power Series from Lab.gruppen will help to raise the standard for distributed, real-time digital audio. This agreement represents the continued adoption of the CobraNet technology into best-in-class products and applications and brings the total number of licensees to 39."

Lab.gruppen has been a pioneer in switching power supplies for over 15 years, and its products are well known in the industry as high-power amplifiers available in lightweight and compact packages.
