Magma on Fastrack for Turnkey RTL-to-GDS Flow Design

10/14/2003 - Magma® Design Automation Inc. (Nasdaq: LAVA), a provider of chip design solutions, announced that Fastrack Design Inc. has delivered a turnkey design exclusively using Magma's RTL-to-GDS flow.

"One common struggle we had in all of them was the inability to predict the design performance of our customer's netlist. We took some of our customer's RTL through Magma's Blast Create and found that the use of a single set of constraints from start to finish guided us smoothly to timing closure, with improvements in area and power. Not having to iterate through the design process and not having to switch timing constraints between design and implementation improved productivity and turnaround time; these were the most important benefits to our engineers and the customer. We are now designing a 3.6-million-gate turnkey system operating at 350 MHz using Blast Create and Blast Fusion."
