Cadence Powers SensorDynamics' Complex Micro Sensor Applications

(NYSE:CDN) announced that SensorDynamics has selected the Cadence® Virtual Integrated CAD (VCAD) service model and technologies from the Cadence EncounterTM digital IC design platform and the Cadence IncisiveTM functional verification platform to enable and speed the development of highly complex micro sensor applications.

SensorDynamics, a startup company based in Graz-Lebring, Austria, develops and industrializes customer-specific micro sensor systems through complete design solutions from analysis and development to design optimization and manufacturing. The company will standardize its solutions by using the Cadence VCAD service model and Cadence solution platforms and for the development of integrated mixed signal ICs (integrated circuits), allowing it to reduce overall development time and provide optimum design quality assurances to its customers.

SensorDynamics is targeting high-volume automotive and industrial sensor markets with applications that include single and multi-dimensional inertial devices, airflow and current sensors, and integrated ICs for these sensor categories. In developing solutions, expertise in sensor modeling is combined with applied mathematics and embedded design skills to produce end-systems.
