1/29/2003 - Ramtron International Corporation (Nasdaq:RMTR), a leading supplier of specialty semiconductor memory products, announced the appointment of Mr. Shoji Hayase as Japan Sales Director. Mr. Hayase will be responsible for the sales and promotion of Ramtron's FRAM and EDRAM products throughout Japan. Additional responsibilities include building and leading Ramtron's Japan sales network of representatives and distributors.
"Hayase-san brings to Ramtron a proven track record of building sales teams and growing revenues at leading semiconductor companies such as Philips, ST Microelectronics, Xicor, NEC, and AMD," said Steve Magno, Ramtron's vice president of worldwide sales. "His ability to lead successful, customer-conscious sales organizations should help retain existing customers and win new ones in the highly-competitive Japan market."
Shoji Hayase comes to Ramtron from the Japan offices of Semtech where he served as senior marketing manager. He previously held marketing and sales management positions at Philips Semiconductor Japan K.K. and ST Microelectronics K.K. Prior to ST Microelectronics, he served as general manger for nonvolatile semiconductor memory maker, Xicor in Japan. Mr. Hayase is an engineering graduate of Yattsushiro National College of Technology.
