1/24/2003 - Mouser Electronics, a North American electronics distributor headquartered in Mansfield, Texas and Rabbit Semiconductor, announced a distribution agreement for Rabbit Semiconductor products.
Mouser Electronics, which on March 5th, 2002 celebrated the grand opening of their new 170,000 square foot warehouse and office facility, expects to capitalize on the wide appeal of Rabbit's high performance 8-bit microprocessors and embedded Ethernet solutions. The RabbitCore microprocessor core module product lines significantly reduce system design times and production costs-key advantages rapidly attainable through Mouser's same-day shipping and extremely high order fill rate.
"We are very excited about having the Rabbit Semiconductor product line as part of our Microprocessor selection," said Glenn Smith, Mouser's President. "Rabbit's embedded solutions fit perfectly with Mouser's focus design on engineers and emerging customers."
According to Norm Rogers, Rabbit Semiconductor's President and CEO, the Mouser agreement is part of Rabbit Semiconductor's revenue growth strategy. "Strong distribution contributes directly to sales and marketing by providing customers immediate access to our products. Mouser uses a strong technical support staff as the foundation for it's inside sales force, while directly serving customers with same-day shipping. The partnership is mutually beneficial." Rabbit U.S. Channel Sales Manager, Kevin Lettow reinforced this response. "Mouser represents the perfect compliment to our existing catalog distribution channel. Geographically, our Southwestern customers will now have immediate shipping solutions available to them. Coupled with Mouser's acclaimed customer service, this should prove a compelling value-added offering to our customers."
