9/27/2002 - Tektronix, enabling innovation in test, measurement and monitoring for the communications industry, announced its 2002 Optical and Microwave Technology Symposium.
The Symposium, a free series of seminars that will address high-speed electro-optical, optical parametric and microwave test applications, begins October 7, 2002 and continues through October 31, 2002 in eleven major metropolitan areas across the U.S. and Canada.
Attendees can choose from three different technology tracks during each all-day event. The three tracks, which focus on Microwave and Optical Communications, will offer individual 90-minute classes focused on key technologies and measurement techniques within each discipline. The day's activities will conclude with a product fair showcasing the latest test instrumentation from Tektronix.
"Our goal is to give customers a live forum to ask questions and a hands-on opportunity to address challenges associated with the many technology advances within the optical and microwave communications industries," said Martyn Etherington, Vice President of Marketing, Tektronix. "Not only does Tektronix offer a variety of test, measurement and monitoring solutions that meet our customer's constantly changing needs, including emerging standards, faster applications and more complex designs, we also provide them the education and support necessary for future development."
The Tektronix Technology Symposium is offered free of charge. For more information about the Symposium and to register, please call (800) 301-3430 or visit the Optical and Microwave Technology Symposium web site.
