9/27/2002 - Kane Computing is pleased to announce that they have reached agreement with Momentum Data Systems to distribute their products in the UK.
Momentum Data Systems offers a range of hardware products based on Philips Semiconductor Nexperia (TriMedia), Analog Devices' BLACKfinTM, and Texas Instruments' C6713/DA610 devices. They also offer DSP software developments tools. Richard White, Managing Director of Kane Computing, commented that this wide product range complements Kane's existing products and offers customers a wider choice of platforms from which to pick the best one for their application.
These high performance DSP hardware platforms include the Eagle-35, a standalone platform that provides four PCI slots, allowing the use of any of the thousands of off the shelf peripheral cards directly by its on board Analog Devices ADS-21535 BLACKfinTM Digital Signal Processor.
Momentum Data Systems offers DSP related design tools for use with any platform. Their filter design software offers options for multirate and sample rate conversion, capabilities not available in other filter design software. Pegasus is a graphical software development environment (SDE) for complex real time single and multi-processor systems.
Other products include the Digital Video Engine-2, a Nexperia (TriMedia) based standalone board with built in video, audio, and Ethernet I/O targeted at networked multi-media applications. Mozart II a high performance Audio Development System for home theatre and AV Receiver applications, combining popular decoders from Dolby and DTS with the Texas Instruments TMS320C671x series of DSP and high quality analogue subsystems.
Richard White, Managing Director of Kane Computing confirmed he was very pleased that they had brought these top quality products into their portfolio of DSP products and had been impressed with Momentum Data Systems attention to detail and quality for a long time.
