9/26/2002 - Mentor Graphics announced that Fujitsu has adopted the Mentor Graphics® resolution enhancement technology (RET) software tool, Calibre OPCproTM, for both model-based optical and process correction (OPC) and a new rule-based solution, table-driven OPC. Fujitsu will use Calibre OPCpro for 0.09 micron process products.
"The combination of the accurate model-based OPC and fast table-driven OPC proved to be a very successful and flexible solution for us," said Kiyoshi Watanabe, director of the process development department at Fujitsu Limited "The full hierarchical solution enabled by Calibre streamlines our process flow greatly while satisfying the highest accuracy requirements."
Model-based OPC with Calibre OPCpro achieves highly accurate process correction based on rigorous optical simulation and advanced process modeling techniques. Table-driven OPC enables a very fast single command execution of complex rule-based OPC by using a concise table description of rules and an optimized hierarchical algorithm. Combining these rule-and model-based OPC technologies provides a flexible, easy-to-use solution with both high accuracy and optimal performance.
"We are pleased that our RET product was chosen by Fujitsu", said Joseph Sawicki, general manager for Mentor Graphics physical verification and analysis division. "This demonstrates that Calibre’s comprehensive, hierarchical RET solutions not only satisfy a broad range of needs but also offer a simple, straightforward process flow."
