Performance Technologies to Host Web Seminar on SS7 Transport over IP

9/25/2002 - Performance Technologies announced it will host a technology seminar to educate customers on the designs and issues facing network engineers. The Web seminar, entitled "SS7 Transport over IP," will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2002 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EDT. Click to register.

Performance Technologies' seminar will be of interest to telecom network planners and hands on managers looking to find ways to reduce costs and extend the lives of existing SS7 infrastructures, as well as industry observers. OEMs who require signaling interworking as part of their overall solution to carrier customers will also benefit by learning how to incorporate leading-edge SS7 over IP network components.

The explosive growth in wireline AIN services, wireless subscribers, and IP-based services, such as SMS text messaging, is putting pressure on network managers to find forward-looking solutions and examples of how to meet today's SS7 traffic requirements. This seminar will cover specific tactics and solutions to address these growing problems, including technology designed to replace expensive SS7 circuits.

Performance Technologies will continue to hold technology seminars over the coming months, including a seminar discussing designs and implementations based on the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group's (PICMG®) 2.16 standard.
