SBE to Exhibit with Motorola at Communications Design Conference

9/24/2002 - SBE, a leading supplier of high performance OEM communications solutions, will be a guest exhibitor in Motorola's booth (#810) at the Communications Design Conference. SBE will be exhibiting the HighWire 400p/M intelligent PCI-based platform, featuring the high performance Motorola MPC8245 integrated host processor.

The HighWire 400p/M platform combines the flexibility of standardized PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) technology with the computing power of Motorola's high integration MPC8245 PowerPC processor, providing a new level of development options to PCI application designers. By reusing the HighWire 400p/M common core platform with different PMC I/O modules, designers may rapidly develop multiple product configurations.

For communications applications, the HighWire 400p/M can be fitted with SBE's wanPMC modules to provide T1/E1, T3/E3, HSSI or synchronous serial interfaces. For other applications, any standards compliant third party PMC module can be used to enable an extremely wide range of development opportunities. This can be of substantial benefit to designers of PCI-based products targeting communications, industrial automation, COTS military, Internet appliances and other I/O intensive applications.
