9/18/2002 - The PCI bus continues to evolve into a faster, more efficient system, and Connect Tech is ensuring its popular Blue Heat/PCI line evolves along with it.
Connect Tech released the Universal Blue Heat/PCI 485. Now all of the great features of our Blue Heat boards are available on an adapter that will work with both the newer 3.3V connector key as well as the older 5V systems.
The latest conventional PCI standard marks the end of the original 5 volt connector, which is no longer supported. Built to strict PCI v2.3 specifications, the Universal PCI edge connector of the Universal Blue Heat means no matter what version of the PCI bus, or what stage of transition of the system, the data communications will benefit from Blue Heatís proven reliability and quality.
Superior engineering enables communications speeds up to 921.6 Kbps in addition to multi-strike surge protection on all signals, all ports. High performance UARTs control each port, providing 128 bytes of transmit and receive FIFO buffers, automatic flow and RS-485 control.
As with all Connect Tech boards, easy installation, a top notch technical support team at your disposal, comprehensive download library, and support for all the most popular operating systems are standard.
The Universal Blue Heat is currently shipping in both eight ports of RS-485/422, and four RS-232 + four RS-485/422 port densities, and will be available in two and four port versions soon.
