White Electronic Designs Receives a New Award of Approximately $2 Million to Supply Custom System-on-a-Chip Module for the F-16 Fighting Falcon

9/12/2002 - White Electronic Designs has been awarded a contract from a major US defense contractor for approximately $2 Million to supply an advanced system-on-a-chip module for the new Electronic Countermeasures Suite deployed in the F-16 Fighting Falcon. This initial order is to be delivered during the next 12 months.

Hamid Shokrgozar, Chairman and CEO of White commented, "Our design expertise and manufacturing capabilities triumphed over far larger, more famous competitors for this project. Our design uses advanced programmable logic capabilities to process signals at speeds up to 1GHz. The design uses high-density signal routing with special impedance controls to achieve these speeds. White's superb design capabilities extend to our manufacturing processes as well. Our Ruggedized Flip-Chip Module (RFCM) met the highest standards attainable on the road to winning this contract."
