9/12/2002 - Bustronic, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance backplanes, has joined the Board of Directors for the StarFabric Trade Association, a non-profit, open membership industry group. Justin Moll was recently elected to serve as VP of Marketing for the association. Moll has been the forefront of Bustronic's marketing team since 1999 and will now share his expertise in promoting the StarFabric Switched Interconnect Technology.
Bustronic and parent company Elma Electronic were founding members of the StarFabric Working Group, which first developed the StarFabric technology based on StarGen's switched interconnect. Bustronic was instrumental in developing the StarFabric prototype backplane, used as a basis for PICMG 2.17 backplane development.
"We are proud to serve on the Board of the StarFabric Trade Association", commented Fred Hirsch, General Manager of Bustronic. "With our involvement with StarFabric from the beginning, we are well equipped to provide continued support and guidance for the association."
Bustronic has recently announced a 17-slot StarFabric development backplane compliant to PICMG 2.17 specifications. The company is also working on various other StarFabric products.
