Air Force's ESC Awards Titan $18.7M Contract

9/10/2002 - The Titan Corporation announced it has been awarded a competitive, time and materials contract by U.S. Air Force having a potential value, with options if exercised, of $18.7 million through December 2006. Awarded by the Air Force's Electronic Systems Center's (ESC) Financial Information System Program Office (SPO), the contract effort supports ESC's Information Technology Services Program needs at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

"This win continues to expand Titan's support to the Air Force's financial information systems programs," said Eric DeMarco, Titan's president and chief operating officer. "We look forward to continuing our support to the Financial Information SPO in its important mission of developing and implementing financial information systems for its Air Force and Department of Defense customers."

The contract calls for Titan to provide technical assistance in planning, managing, coordinating and executing DOD Information Technology processes for the research, development, acquisition, deployment, and support of new and existing financial information systems. Some of the programs supported by Titan include the Automated Business Services System (ABSS), Job Order Cost Accounting System II (JOCAS), Financial Information Resource System (FIRST), Command Management System (CMS) and Automated Budget Analysis Centralized User System (ABACUS).
