9/10/2002 - IP Infusion, a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services, announced that its ZebOSTM Advanced Routing Suite (ARS) will support upcoming Intel family of control plane processors based on Intel's XScale technology. IP Infusion's network software will provide Intel's control plane processors with full IPv4 routing protocol support helping vendors to create a robust control plane solution for a variety of networking applications.
In the IXA Community at IDF, IP Infusion will be demonstrating its scalable, portable Advanced Routing Suite running on the Intel XScale core, showing compatibility with IXC1100 control plane processor. Attendees of the Intel Developers Forum, being held in San Jose, CA, September 9-12, can visit IP Infusion in booth 224.
IP Infusion will be displaying the latest offerings from IP Infusion including ZebOS ARS Release 4.2. The company will be demonstrating OSPF failover and route recovery on an IXP1200 reference platform. The control plane software for this solution will include ZebOS ARS protocol code and Intel's CP-PDK control plane code.
"We are very pleased to be playing such an active role at this fall's IDF," stated Nick Keating, CEO of IP Infusion. "We plan to continue to enhance our relationship with Intel by providing solutions for both the Intel network and control plane network infrastructure processor families. Intel and IP Infusion provide a scalable, high performance set of building blocks that can be used to build wireless, edge, and access solutions for a variety of markets."
About IP Infusion's ZebOS Routing Suites
IP Infusion designs, develops, and markets its ZebOSTM family of advanced IP routing suites, which are based on a unique, modular, multi-process architecture featuring control-plane components that provide route redistribution and conversion, management services, and an OS/processor abstraction layer for routing and switching modules. This high-performance routing software features IPv4/IPv6 versions of OSPF, BGP, RIP, PIM-SM, and IS-IS routing protocols; MPLS, BGP-VPN, RSVP-TE, and CR-LDP switching and signaling protocols; and Mobile IP, routing redundancy, multicast, and virtual routing support. ZebOS software suites can be delivered as either portable, platform-independent source code, or in server solutions, which can be used to support proprietary systems and includes a number of OS dependant modules to quickly build on Linux, BSD, Solaris, VxWorks, OSE, and other popular operating systems.
