9/3/2002 - Centurion Wireless Technologies, a leading manufacturer of antennas and power products for wireless communications, announced the availability of the 5GHz WhisperTM antenna for 802.11a wireless local area networks (WLAN). The low profile, high-performance Whisper extends broadband Internet access and 802.11a coverage within the limited capacity environment of buildings while remaining virtually unnoticed upon installation.

Self-contained in a durable, sleek radome housing, the 5GHz Whisper enables wireless data and multimedia applications while hiding quietly on a wall or ceiling. Installers can mount the 5GHz Whisper using a standard wall plate, low profile pan/tilt mount, or a universal pan/tilt mount.
The 5GHz Whisper features a frequency range covering 5.15-5.35 GHz. The antenna is extremely high performing with a peak gain of 9 dBi and an impedance of 50 Ohms.
The 5GHz Whisper is now available from Centurion direct or through the company's authorized distributors.
