Trolltech Wins Best Embedded Solution for Second Straight Year

8/23/2002 - Trolltech's Qt/Embedded won the "Best Embedded Linux Solution" at last week's LinuxWorld Conference & Expo. This is the second straight year Trolltech's Qt/Embedded has won this award.

"Winning this award for two years in a row is a clear indication that Qt/Embedded is the product of choice when developing for embedded computing systems," said Haavard Nord, chief executive office for Trolltech. "This award further validates the power, ease of use, and sophistication of our Qt/Embedded and Qtopia products."

IDG World Expo presented the Open Source Product Excellence Awards in conjunction with the UniForum Association. The awards recognize Open Source product and service innovations offered by LinuxWorld exhibitors, which include some of the world's leading ISVs, OEMs, service providers, and developers.

"We're pleased to see the innovation that Trolltech's Qt/Embedded is delivering in the 'Embedded Linux Solution' category," said Rob Scheschareg, vice president of sales, marketing and product development at IDG World Expo. "We're encouraged to watch the progress of companies like Trolltech, who are clearly anticipating and meeting the demands of the Linux market."
