Dot Hill Co-Founder to Participate in CTO Roundtable at Storage World Conference

8/16/2002 - Dot Hill will display its Axis Storage ManagerTM at the Storage World Conference, August 20-22 at the San Jose Convention Center. Dot Hill’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and co-founder Dana Kammersgard will participate in the CTO Roundtable panel on Tuesday, August 20 at 2:00 p.m. along with CTOs from Hitachi Data Systems and Network Appliance.

The panel members will discuss emerging trends and new capabilities to ease the storage management burden, improve availability, and enhance scalability to meet future needs. These experts will also debate the proposed breakthroughs that lie ahead for storage including Internet Protocol Storage through questions posed by the audience.

"I look forward to sharing thoughts and ideas about the future of storage both with the other panelists and the IT professionals in attendance," said Dot Hill CTO Dana Kammersgard. "The complexity of managing storage networks and IT infrastructure in general is of great concern in today’s organizations—from the CIO to the system administrator to the CFO. We must simplify management while increasing interoperability between all the components—servers, storage, switches, platforms and operating systems. At Dot Hill, we created our OpenAxis IntelligenceTM initiative to address these issues now."

Dot Hill will also exhibit its SANnet® family of high-availability data storage systems including the full Fibre Channel SANnet 7128 "switchless" SAN and the ultra-slim, rack-optimized RAID Blade in its booth 408.

"Storage World Conference was created for the express purpose of establishing the leading storage forum for industry leaders and newcomers alike," said Daniel Delshad, founder and chairman of Storage World Conference. "This year's event offers a broad range of topics designed to address the driving concerns of nearly every segment of the storage industry, from the end user to the integrator to the vendors. We invite everyone connected to storage networking and management technology to attend this unique event." For more information on the Storage World Conference 2002 please visit
