Marimba Enters Scandinavian Market Through Maersk Data Partnership

8/13/2002 - Marimba, the Software Change-Management Company, signed a reseller agreement with Nordic reseller Maersk Data to sell its portfolio of Change-Management products. Maersk will resell Marimba's products to manage software on desktops, laptops, servers and devices for companies located in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland.

John S Jessen, team leader of Server Based Solutions at Maersk Data comments, "Marimba's solutions enable companies to manage any software product in its organization throughout the software's life cycle - from the initial distribution through any updates and until it may finally be replaced. This includes any type of software from single documents to anti-virus programs or operating systems."

Marco Bussadori, Marimba's director of strategic alliances for EMEA says, "We used to focus mainly on the US market. In recent years, however, we have expanded a great deal in Europe and the new partnership with Maersk Data should help us to become a major force in Scandinavia. We have worked successfully with Maersk Data before, as they have implemented and provided facilities management for one of our largest installations in Europe."

Jessen added, "Our experience shows that Marimba works smoothly no matter which type of application needs to be distributed. Marimba's software change-management products are easy to use, Java-based, and flexible. If there are any problems, we can easily contact Marimba's support organization."
