8/9/2002 - Dot Hill will feature its Axis Storage ManagerTM at the LinuxWorld Conference and Exhibition, August 13-15 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. According to industry analysts, Linux use is growing to unprecedented levels, and is the fastest growing operating system in the world.
Dot Hill will exhibit its SANnet® family of high-availability data storage systems including the full Fibre Channel SANnet 7128 "switchless" SAN and the ultra-slim, rack-optimized RAID Blade in its booth 1144. Dot Hill is participating in the "Powered by Red Hat" program and is a Red Hat Preferred Exhibitor.
Also in the Dot Hill booth, Linux NetworX will demonstrate its EclipseTM Database Cluster turnkey solution, a high-availability cluster based on the Oracle9iTM Real Application Cluster architecture, which includes SANnet as the storage component. The high availability of the solution makes it ideal for data centers and Fortune 1000 companies considering Linux as an applications platform.
LinuxWorld Conference & Expo is the premier event exclusively focused on Linux and Open Source solutions. As the world's most comprehensive marketplace for open source products and services, LinuxWorld provides business decision-makers with information and resources to implement Linux and open source solutions in business infrastructure and enterprise networks.
"Open standards architecture is the underlying principle of our OpenAxis IntelligenceTM strategic initiative," said Dot Hill CTO Dana Kammersgard. "Support for the Linux operating system has and will continue to be an important focus for Dot Hill. Because our SANnet storage systems have supported Linux for several years, we bring the added value of experience and expertise to the table."
