Dot Hill Interoperable with INRANGE’s FC/9000 Family of Fibre Channel Directors

8/2/2002 - Dot Hill and INRANGE®, recently completed interoperability testing between Dot Hill’s SANnet® 7000 series Fibre Channel storage systems with the INRANGE FC/9000TM family of Fibre Channel Directors. SANnet was tested and verified on Linux, Windows NT, Windows 2000, AIX and Solaris operating systems.

"SANnet is designed using open standards, as are all products developed under our OpenAxis IntelligenceTM strategic initiative," said Dana Kammersgard, chief technology officer for Dot Hill. "This verification is another proof point that we are achieving the high interoperability standards we have set. Dot Hill’s support of director-class hardware confirms our commitment and SANnet’s viability in the enterprise market. Our initiative and INRANGE’s vision are very similar – to provide an infrastructure that scales, supports diverse environments, and makes data accessible from anywhere."

"INRANGE is committed to helping customers simplify storage management and reduce overhead costs," said Dale Lafferty, vice president of marketing and alliances at INRANGE. "One way we help to reduce costs is to assure that our products work with other Storage Area Network (SAN) components, as this is a major concern for enterprise customers. INRANGE’s I3 laboratory and certification processes provides a multi-layer program for ensuring interoperability between our IN-VSNTM family of virtual storage networking solutions and those of major industry vendors. We welcome Dot Hill as the newest addition to our list of I3 partners."
