7/29/2002 - Centurion Wireless Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of antennas and power products for wireless communications, today added a new product to its EX series of `Tuf Duck' antennas for Land Mobile Radio (LMR) with the release of the EXH. The new antenna offers an increase in performance of up to thirty percent and greater durability over other LMR antennas.
"Since the release of the first `Tuf Duck' antenna, Centurion has strived to provide the most reliable communications products available to public safety, military and industrial professionals," said Gary Kuck, president and CEO of Centurion Wireless. "The EXH is the most rugged and highest performing LMR antenna yet."
The EXH antenna is an innovative helical and quarterwave combination design that improves reception performance of up to thirty percent over regular helical style antennas. A new injection molding process increases the antennas durability and flexibility, increasing its value in hazardous environments. The antenna's size and other distinguishing features offer more usability, comfort and support for users of belt worn radios.
To ensure proper fit with different radios, the EXH antennas are individually tuned to VHF covering frequency bands from 144 MHz - 174 MHz, and are available in connector configurations including SMA, BNC and selected threaded styles.
The EXH antenna is now available from Centurion direct and through authorized distributors. Please visit www.centurion.com for more information.
