7/15/2002 - VMETRO (Houston, TX / Oslo, Norway) is proud to announce a decision to support VME Renaissance in future generation products. The VME Renaissance standard introduced by Motorola in January 2002, and the Tempe PCI-X to VME Renaissance bridge chip, have been applauded by several key players in the industry.
”VMETRO believes that the VMEbus will continue to hold a dominant position as the infrastructure of choice for high-end embedded applications for several more years to come, especially in the military arena, and this great initiative from Motorola will reinforce this position” says Thomas Nygaard, VMETRO’s Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Product Development.
“Motorola is pleased to see that VMETRO is supporting the VME Renaissance,” said Jeffrey Harris, director of research and system architecture, Motorola Computer Group. “This will further strengthen the leadership position of VMEbus in the embedded computing market for many years to come.”
