7/15/2002 - IBASE Technology, the leading maker of Pentium 4 single board computers in Taiwan, announces today a low power, high performance, and highly integrated x86 platform that provides the most flexible, compatible, and cost-effective solution for embedded systems. IB795 combines an ultra low power Eden processor with the highly integrated VIA ProSavage PN133T (TwisterT) chipset. As a low-power embedded platform, it enables flexible system designs, including low profile and fanless devices.
The IB795 embedded board comes with VT8606 Integrated Savage4 AGP4X graphics featuring CRT and LCD panel support while using a frame buffer of up to 32MB. The LCD interface supports 36-bit TTL interface and two-channel LVDS interface. Optionally, IB795 can have TV-out functionality. One DIMM socket on board accommodates up to 512MB of SDRAM DIMM modules.
Standard specification includes two parallel ports, four serial ports, a socket for DiskOnChip flash disks, one or two Ethernets on board, digital I/O and a watchdog timer. Additional expansion is available through a PCI slot and the PC/104 expansion connector. Overall, the IB795 is specially suitable for POS, kiosks, panel PCs and other embedded applications.
