SanDisk Promotes Jeffrey Kost To Vice President Of Worldwide OEM Sales

7/3/2002 - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) announced today the promotion of Jeffrey Kost, 36, to the position of vice president of worldwide OEM (original equipment manufacturer) sales at SanDisk. In his new position, Kost will report to Sanjay Mehrotra, SanDisk's chief operating officer, and will have responsibility for SanDisk's worldwide OEM sales organization. The promotion is effective immediately.

"The OEM business unit enjoyed strong growth under Jeff's leadership while he was the director of Americas OEM sales," said Mehrotra. "Jeff has managed this organization exceptionally well and has worked effectively with his team. This has resulted in demonstrated growth in OEM bookings and new design wins. In the five years he has been with the company, Jeff has helped to establish SanDisk as the market leader in flash storage cards."

Kost has been with SanDisk since 1997 and held previous sales management positions at various companies including Bell Microproducts, Avnet, and Seagate Technology. He received a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis.
