Corelis Introduces Three EJTAG Emulators for Broadcom BCM1250 MIPS-Based Multi-Processor

6/12/2002 - Corelis Inc. today unveiled three new emulators for Broadcomís high-performance SiByte‘ BCM1250 dual MIPS64‘ processor. The new ScanICE, ScanICE/PIO and the NetICE emulators all utilize the IEEE-1149.1 standard (JTAG) port on the Broadcom BCM1250 to provide access to the on-chip debug unit allowing users to debug both processors and the on-chip peripherals. The emulators can also use the on-chip Trace Ram to collect traces of activity on the internal bus. The emulators include a powerful WindowsTM 95/98/NT/2000/XP based source-level debugger. The ScanICE uses a PCI bus controller that is installed in a PC, the ScanICE/PIO uses a high performance ďintelligentĒ parallel port controller and the NetICE uses a LAN-based (Ethernet) controller for JTAG emulation access.
