2nd generation Bluetooth™ radio transceiver saves costs

6/12/2002 - Ericsson Microelectronics has introduced the PBA 31305, a 2nd generation space-saving Bluetooth radio transceiver. This fully tested radio requires little or no RF skills to implement, providing designers with a simple, robust solution to getting Bluetooth products to market quickly and cost-effectively. The PBA 31305 is a plug-and-play Class 2 radio with an antenna filter, receiver and transceiver baluns all integrated into one circuit. The radio requires only the addition of an antenna, a 13MHz crystal oscillator, digital control functionality and firmware to form a complete Bluetooth link.
