6/11/2002 - California Micro Devices (Nasdaq:CAMD) today announced that Dr. Edward C. Ross, president of TSMC North America, has been appointed to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. "I'm delighted that Dr. Ross has joined our Board, as I believe his extensive semiconductor technology and management experience will be of great value to California Micro Devices as we execute our new strategy," said Robert V. Dickinson, president and CEO. Prior to joining TSMC North America as president in 2000, Dr. Ross served as senior vice president of the Professional Services Group at Synopsys. In addition to his two years at Synopsys, his semiconductor industry experience includes three years at Cirrus Logic as president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group, six years at Power Integrations as president and CEO, seven years at Signetics (now Philips Semiconductors) as senior vice president of all product divisions and seven years at National Semiconductor, where his last position was managing director of the UK subsidiary based in Scotland.
