With the addition of psi electronics to its growing list of Certified Design Centers, Magma ensures the availability of expert design services to complement its full suite of prototyping, planning, synthesis, place & route and verification solutions.

"Magma's comprehensive IC prototyping, implementation and verification solutions are a perfect match for our wide range of design services," said Philippe Tauvel, general manager of psi electronics. "As a Magma certified design center, we will have the technology and training we need to meet our customers' demands for shorter design cycles and better performance."

"psi electronics has both proven design expertise in advanced process technologies and the resources to offer on-site and off-site design services," said Ken Roberts, vice president and general manager of Magma's European operations. "We look forward to working with them to ensure the success of our mutual customers."

About MagmaTies
Through the MagmaTies program, Magma and its partners work together to promote interoperability between Magma's systems and other EDA software, and to develop proven methodologies for getting complex designs to silicon quickly and efficiently. The MagmaTies Design Center Certification program provides members access to Magma solutions, dedicated technical support and sales opportunity referrals. To become a certified member, companies must excel in logical or physical design and be able to provide positive customer references. Prospective members must also complete technical seminars and demonstrate proficiency using Magma tools.

With access to Magma software and training, certified Magma Design Centers can offer their customers comprehensive RTL-to-GDSII design capabilities. MagmaTies is open to companies that offer ASIC and semiconductor foundry services, complementary EDA software, design automation libraries, reusable designs and intellectual property (IP), and design services. About psi electronics
psi electronics is a service company specializing in microelectronics design. Its teams consist of analog or digital designers who can work in two different ways: either providing in-house customer technical assistance, or carrying out projects for partners in its own design centers. With the goal of using its expertise to solve specific problems, psi electronics offers partners the possibility of calling on its technical staff for assistance, ranging from service on an occasional basis up to the provision of a complete team, ready to take charge of an entire project. Such service arrangements are particularly efficient when the project specifications cannot be completely defined in advance and allow maximum flexibility and a fast response time, which are vital factors for success in today's environment. psi electronics can also provides services through design houses, who are able to offer a complete service (human resources and design tools {workstations, software}) to companies that ask to work on part or all of their circuit designs. With this option, for small or medium volumes, psi electronics can also be responsible for follow-up on the various stages of manufacturing: coordination with the foundry, processing, casting, testing and production.

psi electronics ( maintains headquarters in Meyreuil, France, as well as sales and design facilities in Grenoble, Nice and Toulouse.

About Magma
Magma software products enable chip designers to reduce the time required to design and produce complex integrated circuits in the communications, computing, consumer electronics, networking and semiconductor industries. Magma provides a single executable for RTL-to-GDSII chip design. The company's products, Blast FusionTM, Blast ChipTM, Blast PlanTM, Blast NoiseTM and Blast PrototypeTM utilize Magma's proprietary FixedTiming® methodology and single data model architecture to reduce the timing-closure iterations often required between the logic and physical processes in conventional IC design flows. Magma's Diamond SITM also leverages the single data model architecture to provide an integrated, standalone platform for post-layout, sign-off-quality signal integrity verification.

Magma maintains headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., as well as sales and support facilities in Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, Calif.; Boston, Mass.; Durham, N.C.; Laurys Station, Pa.; Austin and Dallas, Texas; Newcastle, Wash.; and in Germany, Israel, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. The company's stock trades on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol LAVA. Visit Magma Design Automation on the Web at
