6/4/2002 - Santa Clara, CA-based Netergy MicroelectronicsTM, Inc. (www.netergymicro.com), a subsidiary of 8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ: EGHT), announced today that it is ramping up production of the Audacity-T2UTM, a complete voice over internet protocol (VoIP) system-on-a-chip. In addition, Netergy has added real-time IP fax capability to its Audacity-T2U offering. With Netergy's comprehensive VeracityTM voice-over-packet software, system designers can come to market in a matter of months with Internet phones, and VoIP or fax-over-IP (FoIP) gateways supporting up to four analog phone lines.
