Netergy Microelectronics Announces Availability of Wireless VoIP Reference Designs

6/4/2002 - Santa Clara, CA-based Netergy MicroelectronicsTM, Inc. (, a subsidiary of 8x8, Inc. (NASDAQ: EGHT), announced today the availability of two new wireless voice over internet protocol (VoIP) reference designs based on its AudacityTM-T2U voice-over-packet processor and Veracity software. Leveraging the popular IEEE 802.11-based wireless local area network standard, these reference designs enable OEMs to rapidly develop wireless VoIP phones and terminal adapters. Netergy will be demonstrating its wireless IP phone technologies for the first time publicly this week in its booth at Supercomm 2002.
