SUN MICROSYSTEMS AND AAL GROW PRESENCE IN THE EDUCATION MARKET WITH CUSTOMERS IN OREGON

6/17/2002 - Sun Microsystems, Inc. and The Administrative Assistants Ltd. (AAL) have added four education customers to their joint customer portfolio, reaching more than 100,000 students in Oregon. Together, Sun and AAL deliver a Web-based student information systems (eSISTM) to manage the student records for Beaverton School District; Bend-LaPine School District; Eugene School District; and Multnomah Education Service District, which encompasses eight individual school districts, including the Portland School District. eSIS is a core component of school operations, providing a centralized point of access to manage student records, such as registration, attendance, grade reporting, diploma management, disciplinary processing, school transfers and student demographics. AAL's eSIS provides information in real time, making it accessible from any computer, anytime, anywhere. Sun is the platform of choice for district and state adoptions, providing a reliable and available foundation for their critical SIS deployments.
