Actel Adds New Distributors; Strengthens Commitment To Customers In Asia

6/17/2002 - Actel Corporation (Nasdaq: ACTL) today announced that Actel has signed sales distribution agreements with four new distributors - Secom Telecom in China; AMSC and Jepico Corporation in Japan; and Maxtek Technology in Taiwan. These appointments underscore Actel's commitment to support new and existing markets with increased demand creation. Further, with these agreements, Secom, AMSC, Jepico and Maxtek are now authorized1 to sell Actel's field-programmable gate array (FPGA) solutions, including the company's flash-based ProASICPLUS and radiation-tolerant RT54SX-S families, for a variety of high-speed communications, ASIC replacement and high- reliability applications across Asia. "The addition of Secom, AMSC, Jepico and Maxtek as Actel distribution partners is key to developing a stronger distribution channel and sales network for Actel customers in Asia," stated Paul Indaco, vice president, worldwide sales at Actel. "In conjunction with our innovative FPGA solutions, these agreements provide the support and resources necessary for our customers to maximize opportunities in a broad range of applications."
