Wind River Systems Drops Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Green Hills Software

5/23/2002 - Green Hills Software, Inc., the world's fastest growing and now second largest real-time operating systems (RTOS) company, announced today that rival Wind River Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: WIND) has abandoned its lawsuit alleging patent infringement by Green Hills Software for its EventAnalyzer™ and MULTI® IDE products. Wind River's withdrawal was unilateral, and without accommodation from Green Hills Software. Green Hills Software's EventAnalyzer™ product is a powerful graphical embedded development tool for capturing and displaying event timelines that enables developers to study system events such as context switches and semaphores, and user-defined application events. The EventAnalyzer can be used with Green Hills Software's royalty-free, secure INTEGRITY™ RTOS, the small-footprint, royalty-free ThreadX® RTOS, or a user's proprietary RTOS.
