Replacing part of its mainframe systems with Sun Fire[tm] 6800 servers and the Solaris[tm] 8 Operating Environment has helped Galileo reduce its total cost of ownership by 30 percent and is expected to save the company tens of millions of dollars in hardware maintenance and programming costs.
