Simplex, Sequence Reach Legal Agreement, Lawsuit Dismissed

5/10/2002 - Simplex Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLX), a leading provider of software and services for the design and verification of integrated circuits (ICs), and Sequence Design, Inc., the SoC Design Closure Company, today announced they have completed a final settlement, including product integration plans and cross-licensing agreements pursuant to the terms of the binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) effective March 12, 2002, pertaining to the patent infringement suit brought by Sequence against Simplex in August, 2001. As a result of the settlement and licensing agreement, the U.S. District Court in Oakland, Calif., issued a final order of dismissal.
