D-Link and Texas Instruments Enter Into Extensive Collaboration for WLAN Products

5/14/2002 - D-Link and Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN), today announced that the two companies have entered into a broad collaboration to integrate TI's 802.11 technology into the 2.4GHz D-LinkAir wireless network solutions for retail. Combining the strengths of both companies, D-LinkAir products will provide higher data-rates and wider coverage areas through the use of TI's ACX100 chip, which delivers at least a 30 percent throughput improvement at 11Mbps (CCK-operation) at greater distances than competition.
