5/14/2002 - Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNPS), the technology leader for complex integrated circuit (IC) design, and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) today announced the signing of a licensing agreement for the seventh year under the Synopsys University Program. This agreement allows KAIST to distribute Synopsys licensed products to a widespread network of 56 participating universities. To date, thousands of graduates have benefited from the Synopsys University Program in Korea, achieving the technical skill needed to leverage EDA tools to produce the next generation of complex integrated circuits (ICs) and system-on-chip (SoC) designs. The long-term relationship between KAIST and Synopsys highlights the spirit of cooperation and trust that Synopsys has built with Korean universities.
