Wind River Releases TINA for iSCSI Initiators for Development of iSCSI-Enabled Storage Networking Devices

(Nasdaq:WIND), a leading provider of software and services for connected devices, today released Tornado® for Intelligent Network Acceleration (TINA) for iSCSI Initiators a development platform for IP-based storage networking devices. TINA for iSCSI Initiators bundles Wind Rivers TINA TCP/IP offload engine with an Internet SCSI (iSCSI) protocol layer, providing network equipment manufacturers with all necessary hardware and software components needed to develop iSCSI-based storage networking devices. Wind River has leveraged its expertise in TCP/IP offload and applied it to the rapidly growing IP-based storage network market, enabling manufacturers to quickly build iSCSI-based storage networking devices including IP-based host bus adapters (HBAs), storage routers and other iSCSI-enabled devices.
