Radisys Successfully Tests New IETF Standard Protocol for SS7 Signaling Over IP as Part of a Multi-Company Interoperability Test

4/30/2002 - A working group composed of many of the leaders in telecommunications network signaling technology today announced it has successfully tested a proposed industry-standard protocol for reliable telecommunications networks combining the best of today's disparate voice and Internet Protocol (IP) networks. The week-long test at European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) facilities in Sophia-Antipolis, France, proved the interoperability of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Signaling Transport MTP3-User Adaptation Layer, otherwise known as M3UA.
