Motorola Announces Industry's First Series of Application-Ready Platforms to Fast Track VoIP Media Gateway Development

3/11/2002 - Motorola Computer Group, a part of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), today announced the ComStruct(TM) Integrated Gateway Platform (IGP) series, the industry's first range of application-ready platforms designed to help significantly accelerate the development of OEM media gateways. Each model in the ComStruct IGP series is an open-standards based, highly-integrated and fully tested system incorporating all the components required of a media gateway. This means that a telecom OEM has only to add and test its application before going to market, which can help to reduce the time needed to deliver its complete media gateway solution to carriers, service providers or ISPs by up to nine months. The ComStruct IGP series is designed to scale from 120 ports to 20,000 ports per shelf, which represents the highest port density available in the open standards industry today.
