Wind River Announces Product Rollout for Its BSD/OS UNIX-based Operating System

3/14/2002 - Wind River Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:WIND), a leading provider of software and services for connected smart devices, today announced the release of version 4.3 of BSD/OSTM, the companys commercial UNIX-based operating system, and detailed roadmap plans for the product. Version 4.3 of BSD/OS is available now, and continues the operating systems heritage of providing superior features and performance for enterprise and Internet Service Provider (ISP) servers, server appliances, and other embedded server-like devices. Future releases of the operating system will target server appliances, security and traffic management appliances, network attached storage (NAS) devices, and telecom application processing blades as part of Wind Rivers strategy to provide end-to-end development platforms across the entire spectrum of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and embedded market segments.
