TimeSys Announces Support for the MIPS Processor Architecture

3/12/2002 - TimeSys Corporation, a pioneer and leader in Embedded Linux and Java(TM) development technologies, today announced that its Linux-based solutions have been optimized to support the MIPS processor architecture with the release of a board support package (BSP) for the Komatsu VR4122 Embedded Board, based on the NEC VR4122 processor utilizing the MIPS processor core. This expands TimeSys' overall footprint to include an even larger range of processor architectures that include IA32 (x86), ARM, PowerPC, SuperH, and Xscale.
