TI, Alvesta Announce Interoperability of 10 Gigabit Ethernet Optical Products

3/11/2002 - Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) and Alvesta announced today the interoperability of TI´s TLK3114SA backplane serializer-deserializer (SERDES) and Alvesta´s 3200 optical transceiver for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Operating together, the TI and Alvesta devices provide a low-cost, low-power system solution for IEEE 802.3ae 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission over fiber optics for distances up to 100 meters using standard bandwidth multimode fiber.
