New SLIC, compatible with Broadcom voice-over-IP chips, cuts complexity and cost

3/20/2002 - Ericsson Microelectronics' Ringing FlexiSLIC PBL38780/1 is the first of a family of SLICs with a differential CODEC interface. It is compatible with Broadcom's VoIP chips and reference designs where the device's high level of integration cuts component count, complexity and overall system costs. Applications include VoIP cable modems, ADSL modems and set top boxes. The proven design enables shortest possible time to market.
